Semester Plans that Work!

GEMS workshop, Semester Plans That Work, provides and customizes a system of effective instruction and management for upper elementary and secondary classrooms. The semester plans are suitable for language arts, social science, science, and other language-based subjects.

The system includes a daily plan consisting of short warmups and basic review activities (8 minutes daily) and meaning-centered reading, writing, and listening/speaking activities (20-50 minutes daily). Handouts include work and test formats which are easy, meaningful, time-saving, user-ready and adaptable to the selected textbooks, materials, and the Common Core Standards. The system is effective for students of all ability and confidence levels. It is flexible and expanding to the wants and needs of the specific teacher and students.
